Re: Rest In Peace Blaze
Thank you. It’s been a while since either of us have been on here. I know he was close to Garr, Billf, dated Galaxy and was close to Phicksur but don’t know if any of those people are around anymore and I no longer have their contact info. Blaze was a great person and will be sorely missed. My heart breaks for his son and his wife as well

Re: Rest In Peace Blaze
My primary memory of Blaze was a debate he and I had over whether humans are still evolving (my view) or are essentially stagnant due to modern medicine (his view). I recall that he used the growing need for eyeglasses or other corrective lenses as key evidence. In the end, we agreed that each other had some good points and that we probably could not solve the debate without a widespread genetic analysis. IIRC, that was on the old EZBoard forum.
Rest in peace, Blaze.
Rest in peace, Blaze.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

None of them are around any more, Corey. We're running something of a skeleton crew at the moment. But just wait until this infernal "Facebook" goes South. Then they'll be back. Then they'll ALL be back!CoreysUsername wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 1:37 pm Thank you. It’s been a while since either of us have been on here. I have good memories of most of those guys. They all helped make the forum such an interesting and diverse place. As did Blaze. I didn't know he was so into his faith. I don't know if I just can't remember it or if that was something he moved closer to later but I'm sure that was of a great comfort to him and, I hope, his family.

Re: Rest In Peace Blaze
They definitely did make the forum diverse and interesting, I agree! So many different people came together here. Blaze was always religious and his first job was to clean our local church. He would help out with their sound and technology as well! His wife attended the same church as him and they ended up together and married for eleven years before he passed.
Blaze ran a local battle bots club and posted updates on his Tripod page (yeah, I know haha). He and I became friends in band and we both geeked out about technology stuff together. He would go in his garage and build stuff for fun a lot. His mom was also crafty and showed me how to make a pillow! Ugh, I could go on...
Thank you all for your support. Hug the people you love extra tight <3

Thank you Seir. He was a huge Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy fan and I can just imagine him telling everyone “so long, and thanks for the fish”

=(
Edit: A frowny face doesn't seem like enough to convey my reaction to this news.
Like many here, my memory has succumbed to the ravages of time, but I just remember Blaze being a constant presence, from all the way back in the EZBoards days. This stings a little.

I was never fond of Blaze, but as adversary and nemesis, I feel compelled to note his passing. Soon I will have no one left to hate but myself.
(Also condolences and best wishes for his family)

Re: Rest In Peace Blaze
I remember he didn’t live far away from me when I was in Michigan. But I was off the forums a bit when he kind of faded out. That’s a thing that happened, right?
Wow... I’m sorry to hear he’s passed...

My sig would have contained the secret of life, but I'd already clicked submit.

Today would have been Blaze's 38th birthday.

Ouch so young, I'm creeping up on the big 5 0 so that hits a little harder.
