Weird...
I've had this shoulder bag for a while. I love it. It's a TUMBUK2. Pretty much the best satchel bag made by man.
I keep some spare change in it, too. So the other day I go to find my spare change. It's not in the usual pocket.
I thought it was stolen!
But it wasn't. I foudn it in a seperate zipper.
And here's the fun part. In that pocket I also found a pecan. A pecan with the shell on;. Like, from a tree.
So. Why was it in there?
RLFers? Go.

It's a warning from your future self that someone is going to choke on a pecan because they couldn't get a coke from the machine fast enough.

Re: Weird...
I don't think I've ever seen a pecan not jauntily perched atop a pie. And even then, only when the spotted dick or trifle has ran out. Certainly not in its wild state.

You never know when The Doctor is going to play a harmless but maddening little prank on you in the night.

Re: Weird...
@Rors Yeah. Pecans are kind of a big deal here in central Texas. you can't swing a dead armadillo without hitting one.
Also, yes. Lots of dead armadillos, too.
So... yeah... it's kind of just constant pecan finding and armadillo swinging...
Best state in the union.

The change is breeding. Pecans are the advanced evolutionary stage of pocket change. Be careful, next thing you know Euros will be falling out the pecan trees.

Re: Weird...
I've got a Crumpler bag, which is pretty amazing. It's upsetting because I always want to buy a new one, but this bag is still fantastic, so I have no reason to.
The only things I ever randomly find in it are painkillers that have fallen out of bottles, because child-proof is one thing, but just-sitting-in-a-bag-proof is impossible.

Re: Weird...
I've never heard of a Crumpler either...?
Mine's the classic messenger. I like pretty much everything about it.
It's sturdy, with plenty of convenient zippers and storage options. I'm always amazed how comfortable it is after I load it up, too. It seems bulky when I have my iPad, water bottles, file folders, etc, in it. But it always seems to sit right when I throw it over my shoulder. I don’t' go anywhere without it and it's held up great. I’ve had it for about 3 years.
My only complaints (and they're minimal) are that:
A) I wish it had a handle on the top middle like their laptop bags have. It would make it easier to put it in or take it out of my car. As it is I have to, like, grab a fistful of the shoulder strap and swing it in. Not very effective.
B) This one's harder to explain. The nylon attached to the clips on the bottom front of my bag is always getting stuck on the Velcro for securing the flap. And they are getting a bit frayed as a result. I haven’t figured out a way around this. Other than design. They could have put the hook part of the Velcro on the flap rather than the bag, though.
I recommend. They're not cheap, but they’re quality.

Re: Weird...
Crumpler's an Australian company that makes really nice, sturdy bags. They used to be more fun though: the descriptions on the website for each bag used to just be what looked like drunken rambling about nothing, and my bag (called the "Considerable Embarassment") was listed as being able to carry at least four wine bottles. The site is a lot more professional now, and the descriptions are actually descriptions of the things they're describing, without much fun at all.
Also they discontinued the red/brown Considerable Embarassment and I don't like the new colours.
Edit:
This is the one I have:

This is what they're selling now:
