Re: Songs you should listen to
That does not sound like an easy karaoke number. Although I can totally see you doing it.
Alright then, I'm downloading Geronimo just now. I'll give it a good, loud go in the car.
And there's a hand, my trusty friends. From my house to yours.

I enjoyed the hell out of that. Both before and after the tempo shift

I don't care much for modern country music, but I still continue to like bluegrass. Here's "In Hell I'll Be in Good Company" by The Dead South.
Yo Mav, I'm real happy for you and Imma let you finish but Hirschoff had the best sig trends of all time.

I have that album but I need to listen to it in small doses.
I think Mumford and Sons broke me on the foot stomp.

Harp guitar by Jamie Dupuis.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

That was mesmerising. One of those things that make me wish I had any patience in learning new skills.
Anyway, an oldie but one of my heroes. And seems apt.

About time they released a song considering the times we live in.

Terrific. Powerful, powerful stuff. I just hope it's not preaching to the choir. From an outsider's point of view I would imagine a lot of Trump supporters will have two words in mind with this and the first one would be 'uppity'.
Still. A couple of promising books coming out, eh?
Where's Zach de la Rocha when we need him too?

Objectively speaking (as much as you can be objective about something like music) the chorus was pretty terrible. The verses were fire, though.

Shut the fuck up. Sorry ass motherfucker. Stay away from me.
I know what you mean. It sounds like a different idea tacked on as a chorus. And who hasn't done that?
Almost seems there just give Flavor Flav something to do. It gets a little less jarring with repeated listenings, but that first time is a bit of a sore thumb.

Yeah, I've tried a few times, and I'm still mystified why it's there and why it's...useless and weird and doesn't line up with anything else.
I don't what the "stay away from me" part is supposed to accomplish, and I'm not rap lyricist. But they could've just gone with something more like "State of the Union/Shut the fuck up/Dumb motherfucker/See your way out" or whatever. Still a little silly and hollow and seems beneath Chuck D, but wtf do I know?

I'm on a Crowded House tip today. They wrote some just beautiful songs, didn't they?
