Postmodern Jukebox is something i stumbled upon in my youtube travels. They frequently collaborate with some pretty awesome vocalists.

Yep, love that!

This is a decent one to chill to. I think I first heard it in a car commercial.

Is anyone watching American Gods? It's awesome. And it has some really good original music.

Never seen it. Heard good things, though. Shirley Manson seems to be able to do very little wrong.

I watched the first episode. It's pretty good so far. I've read the book about 1.5 years ago and I'm interested to see how it will translate to a tv series.

My wife actually recommended the book to me. She's a huge fan of Neil Gaiman.

Why not throw some early '70s Bahamian randomness into the mix?

I really liked that. Except for the chick.
And I'm not saying that because I hate women or anything.
I mean I do. But that's not why I'm saying that.

Kind of reminded me of some Noah and the Whale stuff. Although I'm always suspicious of catchy stuff's shelf-life. The music I tend to return to is quite often stuff I didn't really get on the first listening. Case in point, The National.

These days, I find myself unable to enjoy most music. It sucks. I flip through radio stations (both actual and streaming) and instantly become disinterested or even annoyed with what is currently playing. I'm not sure if this is because I've been listening to podcasts pretty heavily for a few months now or what but something has definitely changed.

I've been listening to some of the recommendations and so far I love Jace Everett.

My suggestion would be Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, he's extremely musically talented and his wife plays a washboard which is pretty cool!

They seem to welcome and play up the comparison. For a band with tens of millions of views on YouTube, I do wish they’d do a better job with the music video lip sync.

Guess we haven't mentioned Leo and Frog Leap Studios over here. I love that he sings the credits on some of his videos.
