Re: Randomness
Christ, I totally thought this thread was here. I've had several random thoughts recently which would have found a home here. And obviously now I can't remember a single one. Bear with me.

Was one of them something like, “A fire truck is actually a water truck”?

Re: Randomness
Blippi has ruined fire trucks for me. Do you guys know Blippi? He's like the American version of Mr Tumble.
Both of them are worth the watching if you ask me. Wrong 'uns.

Random: The Umbrella Academy was written by the singer of My Chemical Romance.
Random: Bored, I read backwards as is my wont. I am shocked to see I mentioned Blippi in only the last page. But as everyone forgot this thread was here, that was pretty much a year ago. My patter has come full-circle.
Random: I thought the house was empty yesterday. Turns out Nicola was just in the living room, quietly reading. I'm a little concerned about what I said to myself as I was pottering about the kitchen. I say some dreadful things out loud when I think I'm alone, or in the car, Dreadful things. I think it's a form of Tourette's. I invent songs that would see me in front of a judge.
Random: Apparently you should store whole pineapples upside-down. So, on the leafy side.

Today is StruckingFuggle's birthday. He came. He posted a lot. He disappeared. Leaving us the poorer when all's said and done.

One of the few people to come close to challenging Deacon's post count — mostly because the two 'debated' so much.

Altogether? ₒ^ₒ
That reminds me how I usually don't care about how prolific an author is. Or rather if they're too prolific it makes me suspect their quality. Some of my favourite authors are incorrigibly graphomanic---not that I like all their stuff: most of it's, well, graphomanic---I think the way I judge it is by looking at only the best stuff---the stuff worth significant attention. Of course, if it's hard to find the good stuff..

Re: Randomness
I noticed a while ago that when the author's name is bigger than the book title on the cover, it means the author is selling themselves, not their work. There are probably authors who are so good that that's still okay... but I definitely get what you mean.Seannery wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 9:35 pm That reminds me how I usually don't care about how prolific an author is. Okay, crazy thought - who's the most prolific author for whom you've read everything they've written?
When all is said and done, more is generally said than is done.
Ask me anything - no, really - but be warned: I will answer. If you didn't want to know... don't ask.

Stanisław Lem pending
There is one obscure prolific author---mostly unpublished thank the maker---whom I've perused. None else I've perused were prolific---though've never seen their unpublished. I've watched certain filmists' filmographies. Listened some musicians' discographies. Certain consistently good transients in my endless shuffle of favourites (with prospects)

The best thing about yesterday's inauguration was hearing everyone talk about their 'doody' for an hour.
