The biopsy results are finally in.
The tumor they removed a fortnight ago is exactly what they wanted it to be: cancerous and self-contained. It's extremely likely that it's been the cause of my elevated blood count and, from the surrounding tissue, shows no sign of spread. If my blood count have halfed again this week, as they have done for the past two weeks, we can start thinking the problem has been solved and start thinking about the future.

Yup. Barring some unforseen cosmic kick in the teeth, all signs are pointing to success.
