I apparently missed this thread yesterday. I was wondering why you hadn't been around for a while. Congratulations! Post-doc with the same lab? I hope to join your rank in the next two years. Sigh. I am what many people think of when discussing the horror stories of perptual PhDdom.

Seriously, congratulations on this. I'm trying to think of how many others I know (even via Internet) have reached the title of doctor, and it's a vanishingly small list.

It does, however, leave me wondering, WTF have I been doing with my life? :)

Well personally I think that you could use your phd material to go into cosmetic surgery. Just imagine if you could fabricate materials that could be held in skin or other often targeted areas of cosmetic surgery (wink wink) that would increase rebound against stretching (otherwise known as fight the sag!) :)

The job is with the company High Performance Technologies, Inc, and I'll be working at Wright Patterson AFB (at AFRL) doing computational bioinformatics.
