Bye Gap.

Post by Terrene » Sat Feb 07, 2009 12:57 am

So I went to Gap today to ask them to fire me plz and my boss was like "okay. Do you have a paycheck?" I was all like "No." And she was all like "Are you sure?" And I was like "yes" and she was like "Let's go check" and then she handed me a pay check I didn't even know I had earned! Sweet deal.

Except that I am unemployed. :(

I think you mean quit? Because I am fairly certain being fired is not helpful for finding a new job....

It was a seasonal position and it was pretty much over anyway, I just wanted it to be official sooner.

I'm afraid we're at the point in the job cycle where every available job is pretty much a gig. The good thing is, we're moving away from the idea of being stuck in a cubicle five days a week. The bad news is, the turnover rate will be astronomically high, since everyone is hired on a specific job basis. Once your specific job is over, you search for the next specific job.

This thread got my hopes up. I was hoping that it was news that Gap was going out of sale.

How does one go "out of sale"?

I am pleased I disappointed you, clit-slapper.

CS22, I see that you have two Deacon quotes in your sig. What does his cock feel like against the back of your throat?

.../sigh. I need to stop posting when I'm about to go to bed. Going out of business.

I think he's right. When I think you are right, I will replace his quotes with yours. But I doubt that will happen....

I am not asking you to chug my cock because I do not even have one and if I did I would only let cool, attractive people chug it.

This is absurd. Everyone knows that gay republicans don't exist.

Anyways... going back to the topic of the original post. My first job (16 yrs old) was at The Gap. It was also the first job I was fired from. Apparently customers don't care for smart ass remarks.

You can't say that and not share some examples.

Oh hell... it has almost been 9 years and I only worked there for three months.

One went something like this:

Lady (pointing at her legs): Where can I find jeans like these?
Me (with boss right behind me): Lane Bryant?
Lady: Excuse me?
Me: What size?
Lady (turning towards manager): Where can I find jeans like these?
Manager: Over here, Ma'am.

Most of my remarks where small but I still had a handful of complaints. I think the main reason I was fired was because I didn't get along with the manager (I was told it was because of my "floor attitude") that took over in my second month. Everything about that company is strange to me. I was hired in a group interview. They took four of us to the food court and interviewed us in this weird group discussion. Does anybody else do that?

Hahaha.

Gap has so many different jeans. I loved it when a customer would ask me to go fetch them a certain size of what they were trying on. Well it might fucking help if you told me what style you were wearing!

Did you have any trouble getting a new job because you were fired?
