My power company has something similar. It's useful for anyone who is not at home when some kind of significant thing happens that could potentially lead to a power outage. Still not well-worded though.

Well to be fair imagine cell reception may still be fine, in which case your smartphone could pull up that page. In my experience, though, if electricity goes out it's because there's an outage.

I saw this today, for those who doubt that 4X4 drivers are wankers.

How very honest.

What does it say? Coming up tiny on my screen.
PS I currently own 4 vehicles, all of which are equipped with proper part-time 4x4, three Jeeps and a truck.

Yeah, I did try to make it bigger on photobucket but I gave up in frustration as my changes weren't sticking. Doubtless it was me.Deacon wrote:What does it say? Coming up tiny on my screen.
Yeah, but to be fair to you, you seem to use your vehicles for more than just the school run and for parking across two spaces at a time in the supermarket.PS I currently own 4 vehicles, all of which are equipped with proper part-time 4x4, three Jeeps and a truck.

I've never parked across two spaces at the supermarket. And my truck is approximately 2.3 times bigger than the average European car
I'm actually prepping two of the Jeeps for sale. Looking to start a new Jeep project instead...

So you're selling two of your Jeeps to fund a "Jeep project"? Why?

Because to get where I want to go, the one that's built up nicely would have to get gutted, so all the time and money would be mostly wasted, and it's still suitable as a daily driver (not just a rock crawler) with only about 32k miles. The '97 I bought as a blank slate but have decided its just not what I'm looking for. I'll probably get a 4-door JK (current generation wrangler, a 2007 or 2008 most likely) because it has the long wheelbase I'm looking for and is very comfortable and nice inside. I have a kingpin Dana 60 and GM 14 bolt full floater for axles and will run 42" tires. The whole suspension would come out and be redone custom from scratch. Probably an Atlas II transfer case, with a 4.3:1 low range. Maybe even the 5:1. I may end up with an LJ (04 to 06 Wrangler Unlimited). All just depends.
The 3rd Jeep is a 99 Cherokee I use for a ranch/hunting vehicle.

I'm the same. I can be out with friends and have to entertain myself for half an hour while they talk about cars.
Even if I were interested, Nicola simply won't entertain the notion of spending much on a car.

Yeah but your friends are probably talking about cool old British sports cars like the Lotus 7 and Caterham.
