Dear work,

I want to know in writing if the ratio of supervisor to agents or trainers to trainees will mean possible layoffs in the future. Whomever you had negotiating for the contract really let you down.

Yours,

Ampersand, who takes it as a sign to start looking. We've entered into rats on a sinking ship territory.

Dear MOT testers

My arsehole has seen some adventures but I like it the size it is, more or less. Please can you not ream, pound, fuck or screw me in it any more than absolutely necessary today.

Many thanks
Me, face-down and splayed.

Congratulations :) Does that mean you're now hazarding unsuspecting innocents on the roads of Scotland? And also driving near them?

I leaned out of my car window the other day and got done for mooning.

Dear van-driving cunt

A yellow box with cross-diagonal lines on British roads means 'Do not stop here'. You can stop on them if you're turning right, but they're basically there so that cars caught in traffic do not clutter up ingress for cars on the other side who wish to turn into stationary traffic. Honking your horn at me because I have adhered to this rule of the road makes you a cunt. Throwing a wobbler because you find yourself stopped ten feet behind where the traffic has ground to a halt anyway makes you a cunt. Driving a van makes you a probable cunt. Please stop being such a cunt.

Yours
A non-cunt. At least, in the driving sense.

Was it a white van? Nothing good comes from white vans.

Pfft, that one was a tiny little thing.

15m diameter, ~7000 tons, 18km/s speed. About 470kT yield on the blast. Just a little playtoy compared to what's out there.
If all else fails, use fire.

2012DA14 has a 50 M diameter, a mass of 190,000 metric tons, and today (15 February 2013) passed closer to Earth than satellites in geosynchronous orbit. Still "just a little playtoy" but one I don't really want to play with.

Dear Portland, Oregon,

Who designed your city layout, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation?

Yours,

Ampersand, who'd like to get a Garmin, but worries it'll weep after the first time trying to find Powell's.

Dude, I just checked Google Maps. Portland is designed along a grid, you have two way streets, and there seem to be an awful lot of places to park. That doesn't seem so bad at all. When you're navigating a spiderweb of one way streets with parking restrictions, looking for somewhere to put your car that won't result in it getting towed away, you'll know what MassDOT does to people. Until then, count your blessings.
