I still say Ryan Tedder's song "Too Easy" from the mid 2000's is one of the most beautiful songs and performances. Yes, ever. Just him and his guitar, amazingly done all the way through. That sweeping run he goes on starting at 1:50 sticks in my head.

Nice. That boy's got some range. I only knew him from that song he did with Logic. It was a complete shock to me to find out that he's actually a dude.

Yeah, Ryan Tedder I think is a great vocalist, but while some people know him as the lead singer of the band OneRepublic (e.g. Apologize which only really reached commercial success after he sold it to Timbaland, Counting Stars, etc), far more are familiar with his work whether they realize it or not as a songwriter and producer for the stars. Beyoncé Halo, Kelly Clarkson Already Gone (and a bunch of others), Leona Lewis Bleeding Love and Happy and others, and he’s worked up songs for a ton of others. Most of the time I can hear it in the music, but I was genuinely surprised when I found out how much he worked with Adele on her album 21.
Anyway, he’s pretty good in his own right as well.

It's always frustrating when someone you don't know writes a particular song before you do.
I’ve never once heard of them in my life, but now this haunts me. ‘80s Scottish bands for the win?

I want to make two very, very different recommendations.
The first is more an artist recommendation than it is a specific song, Samantha Fish. She's a rock/blues musician, and goddamn can she sing.
My second recommendation is one that was a bloody curveball for me, even if its old news for a lot of folk. Jason Manford, a british comedian, is also apparantly a fucking fantastic operatic singer. When the hell did that happen? Either way, he's great.
