Confessions: And this time it's personal

At least it's not swing, right?

EDIT: Had snatches if a song stuck in my head after reading your post, and I finally figured it out and went and watched the video on YouTube: The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Impression That I Get

You'll note that I remember that from my senior year of high school, way back before there was such a thing as a YouTube or RLC/RLF.

Actually it kinda was. A bunch of the swing acts that were popular for that brief moment in the nineties were actually just ska bands.

You didn't have to finish this. I knew what song it was right here. :)

I also like swing music (from the actual swing era) and even took multiple rounds of dance lessons and went to some Swing Dance nights at a local place.

I have a Swing Pandora station for when I need to get into a good work groove.

Been reading through my old forum journal. Wow, emotional. I'd be embarrassed if the last post in it wasn't from 6 years ago now. Been reading other peoples, too...I feel like such a creeper!

Not at all. I don't feel that when I imagine people reading my journal.

I imagine it like waking up beside them while they're wearing my favourite old sweater. It's a little too long in the sleeve and baggy and they're not wearing make-up but still, to me, they look fantastic. Hair a little tousled and perhaps hanging slightly over one eye which they continually bat away ineffectually in an unconscious gesture I find adorable beyond description. The warm smell of their soft, sleepy skin and the sparkle in their eyes suggesting untold morning possibilities.

I like it even better when I imagine the female posters reading it.

I don't know how to respond to that. It was well-written, though. Rors, I don't know why you don't write fiction for a living, you've got a way with words.

I did the same thing just recently. A little shocked at how much I shared in the open. Even more so in the posts I had deleted.

It was nice to see how much I've grown & changed since then.

Yeah. *sigh*

I jumped on the nostalgia wagon too. I'm both amazed at what I thought worthy of telling the world and heartbroken for younger me here and there. I wish I could call him to tell him everything turns out fine.
