October 21

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Powertools with a Star Trek redmask?

Is that a death wish? That's basically a redshirt. The shirt means death, the mask would be something lesser than death but still bad, like losing some fingers. What is going through that mind in that wood working?

That’s clearly a TNG era face mask, not TOS. It has a TNG combadge and rank pips, not naval strips indicating rank. Therefore red means Command division, not Engineering or Security. Mae is therefore safe.

It's actually not the mistake you think it is.

The first death in Star Trek was in a blue shirt. If you look at the number of people we see in each color shirt and the number of deaths from each shirt, you would see the blue is the color of death. Since the blue didn't change over the centuries, it holds that blue is still the color of death.
