Oct 9 comic - coffee

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Oct 9 comic - coffee

Post by Raleke » Mon Oct 12, 2020 5:36 pm

This particularly amused me as the very first place my daughter went after the hospital was the Starbucks across the street.

She's adopted, and the hospital didn't have a place for us to do the paperwork with the agency rep after we picked her up, so we had to go to Starbucks to fill out papers so she would be officially ours (or at least the first step of that).

The next place she went was Target, so we could get food, clothes, and a stroller (we live in PA but adopted her from TX, and had about 20 hours notice that we had to get to TX to pick her up).

20 hours is pretty good notice for adoption. A buddy of the brother of The Werefrog was given his notice at in the afternoon on 24 December one year to come pick up his new baby (he had just enough time to stop by Target first to get the car seat). That was a nice Christmas present for the new grandparents.
