Comic for January 7th 2011: Positive

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

I read the blog post first (it was higher up in my RSS reader), yet I *still* cried when I read the comic remembering the similar moment when my wife first found out she was pregnant.

If you don't mind me using an image from another comic entirely;

Congratulations! Both pregnancy and parenthood is a wild ride. My son turns 1 at the end of the month, and it's been a joy watching him grow. Sure, there are frustrations, but what they say is true: babies are made cute so you don't kill them. ;)

And parents are the worst for secrets. I wanted to keep the secret until after my first trimester as well, but my MIL has a big mouth.

And as for the laboring part... Drugs are good, mmkay?

And ask for the drugs before he's dilated to 9.

Congrats you two! I just became a father myself just over 4 months ago, and even though it was a surprize to us, I can't say I would have had it any other way.

Well, to join in, OMGOMGOMGOMGGREGANDLIZOMGOMGCONGRATULATIONSLONGDISTANCEINTERNETHUGSOMG!! :D

Seriously, that's really great, and now I'm feeling even more annoyed that Ms. Awesome hasn't waltzed into my life and swept me off my feet and made me impregnate her to share my mostly awesome DNA with future generations.

Congrats! Yeah, the first US looks like a peanut :) Actually, that image is what inspired my sister-in-law to start studying to become a US technician.

Ours will be turning 1 just before yours is born (July 1). Congrats!

Buy an electical heat pad. The one thing no-one mentions, but temperature changes when putting the baby to bed can wake them up. By pre-warming their bed (and of course removing the pad before the kid goes in) it helps them transition, keeping them asleep. Otherwise be propared to spend a lot of time walking around trying to get them back asleep.

Oh, and pray the summer isn't too hot. Heat rash sucks on babies.
