Dreams about Liz.....

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Dreams about Liz.....

Post by Metzgirl » Wed May 14, 2003 12:56 pm

I just had a strange dream about lizzie coming to visit me in Mitchell SD (My hometown).

It started out with me waking up in my old bedroom, getting on my dad's cell phone, and finding lizzie's phone number in forums. I called her, and she agreed to come visit me. (She was in North Dakota for some reason) So, 2 minutes later she comes to my house and all of a sudden I forget her name.

I try to introducer to her my dad, but I can't remember her name. Once I get beyond that awkward point, I discover my dad is plannin on throwing a party. Instead of getting a cooler, he keeps everything in the trash can. So the trash can is full of turkey, cheese, beverages and what not. The turkey and cheese actually disgust Liz because in my dream she's vegan.

Then she asks to tour my high school. Instead of actually taking her, I point her in the general direction and she goes by herself. By the time she came back, Nathan, my then-fiancee had come. I still couldn't remember her name. So I ended up going to the forums on my dad's cell phone again because I didn't want to feel stupid and ask. Then... we sat down for lunch, and I woke up..

Should I be scared that I'm having dreams about someone I've never met? Or more worried about my sanity?

Or perhaps it relates to a latent fear that she has forgotten something and the time to remember it is coming up soon. Her subconscious remembers and tries to remind her in dreams. This is not uncommon.

If I've forgotten it and need to remember soon, but don't know what I need to remember, how can I?

*is confused*

Well.... stop thinking about it. Clear your mind, let your subconscious make you dayream..... that is generally how I recall things I have forgotten and need to remember.

... Or I could just be having a rash of weird dreams. (Yesterday, I dreamt one of my English professors was driving me back to our apartment building (different apartments, same building) when he almost got us killed by driving in the wrong lane.)

Unless that one means something too...

I did find a paper I'd forgotten to write. But it's too late now. (stupid double-paper weeks!)

You know, its often said that one of the most boring and overall social 'no-nos' is listening to\telling someone about a dream.

Well, they're wrong.

Reading\Posting about it is much, much worse.

But far, far more amusing.

Besides, when the hell did you start caring about social no-nos?

well... I always think dreams are interesting to hear about. Especially when they involve the person you're talking to/ the person you're talking to knows the person you dreamed of.
