9-21-2007 The Censored Conversation

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Hahaha! Married person chiming in, and yes, it would be horrible. I wonder if I'm right.

I've been married for almost 14 years now. I can think of at least four different conversations they could be having.

But then I have an unfair advantage. My wife is a nurse. Some of the conversations are definitely not for those with squeamish stomachs.

My husband and I are just in that 'almost too comfortable with each other' stage, where we talk about everything.

The original post in this thread is unbelievably awesome.

Having several married friends that I hang out with I have to agree with Kitsune. There is a point where you get too comfortable with each other and talk about things that horrify single people. A la post numero uno in this thread.

I have actually heard my friend's wife call her husband into the bathroom with the expression "come look at this!" and then hear him exclaim "wow! how did that come out of you?!"

Marriage does strange things to people.

Woah, strange timing. Yesterday, I just read a comic on Dumpy Thursday about married people talking about poop. To think I have so much to look forward to when I get married...

Getting married comes in two stages.

Stage 1: Realizing even beautiful women that you desperately want to touch all over poop out some massive, misshapen, corn filled turds.

Stage 2: Realizing that you honestly don't care, and you're more happy that they're healthy than that they're gross.

Married for 6+ years, and yeah, a poop conversation was the first thing that came to mind, followed by several other, equally disgusting possibilities. All I have to add, is just wait until you have kids.

If you thought discussing your spouse's bowel movements are bad, wait until you're analyzing the leavings in your child's diaper to determine whether it was "a good poopie" or not.

Aaron and I discuss the oddest things in the oddest places. Sunday we were having breakfast at IHOP and were discussing ejaculation and semen and all sorts of other inappropriate things in public. We are definitely in the "too comfortable with each other" stage. Hell, he's sent me messages describing a poop he was worried about and asking me to research it for him! :)

So true... so true. We're nearing 3 years of marriage and, even worse, we have no TV. You would be AMAZED at what married people will do for entertainment when television is removed from the equation. I can only imagine that this conversation was either about poo or sex.

And yeah... it doesn't strike me as weird at all.

There are so many things I could say to explain it, and many of them would be rather brain-curdling (especially those of a sexual nature). The "this big" hands really just opens up a whole world of options for those of us with a dark cancer of the mind.
