I used to have braces. Now every time I sleep I wear a metal and plastic upper-expander.

Probably the metal in the braces (maybe the expander, has it been as pronounced since you had them changed?) picking up the signals from the storm and vibrating and the vibrations being transferred to your eardrums through your skull which, in your sleep, your brain transforms into geometric shapes.

See? Perfectly logical explanation for both the funny flavor in your mouth and the strange dreams during a thunderstorm. Now you can sleep easier. :D

Thanks for the help.

Its called lucid (sp?) dreaming. It happens when you realize that you are dreaming. The lowest level of this is when you simply know you are dreaming while the dream is taking place. The highest level is when you are able to control every aspect of this.
Actually, Lucid dreaming means to be aware that you are dreaming, as you said. You can still be totally asleep while having a lucid dream. Happens to me all the time. And yes, I take semi-control, all the time.

I had the wierdest dream last night...there was Daredevil, who tok off form his base on a unicycle with his sidekick...a little boy. Finally, he arrives at the bad guys hideout..it looks strangely reminiscent of the SNL main stage..and who is the bad guy? Why, none other than Will Farrel!

Yea..it was a weird dream.

F4, Final Fantasy is cool and all, but you gotta stop thinking about it 24/7/365. It's not healthy you know.. next thing you know you're whipping out a sword and charging at innocent forum posters.

/me quickly hides Masamune behind him.

You know what's funny. I do own a Masamune blade. A friend of mine who makes swords made one for me and I'm still making payments on it (who knew damascus steel was pricey)

I'd like to see if I could hold the Buster Sword.

That thing is sick.

The swords online one is actually pretty light. It would be easy to hold.

*sigh* My mind gets really hazy when I'm sick. Keep misreading posts.
Anyone every have a 'dream' when they were awake? Not day dreaming. It runs through like a dream, but ur totally aware of everything around you, and still doing, but have no control over what goes on, like in dreams.
There is only one probable reason I know of that would cause this. If ou were relaxed enough, you brain activity could have gone from beta waves (normal activity while awake) to alpha waves (state in which dreams happen). Alpha waves are only slightly lower than beta. However this could have caused you to mistake real life as a dream and you lost direct control of you're body as in a dream.

Really.

Mav, what kind of dreams were those? The ones that saved you?

Im not talking about lucid drams or anything.
This happens to me frequently. I'll be sitting there doing something, then my brain will 'click in' and this 'dream' will start playing through my head. But I am totally coherant, and still can think about the thing im doing, but I still have this thing going on in my head. Not realted to what im doing, and Im not day dreaming.

Maybe I'm psychic.
