And these days quite a few of their parents, too.

This is excellent! Rainmom approves :) I've missed out on some cool changes here

I feel like I should say something and here is as good a place as any.

@Brinstead: I owe you an apology for making you wait two weeks. Time is getting away from me a lot lately.

I'm one of the few people on earth that's legitimately grateful for the quarantine going on. I mean, I'm not happy about the epidemic... but it's been sure nice being able to lawyer from my home in my pajamas - because my wife has metastatic cancer, and frankly, she's getting bad.

I don't know how much time is left. She's on oxygen (4L/m 24/7), has no energy (literally uses a wheelchair in the house for anything above ten feet), and has visible tumors on her external skin. "Years" isn't on the table anymore... but at the same time, we're probably not down to "any day now" yet. So ... "weeks, maybe months" is probably as close as anyone can tell me.

Just about anything that I don't get paid to do, I'm doing fairly sporadically at this point. It will get better, and I'm not disappearing.

Also, I'll probably regret this, but if you're waiting to get in and I haven't responded in a while, try my external email - mouselaw (at) gmail (dot) com.

I don't want this thread to be taken over by my venting or moping or whatever, so I started a rant thread.
