It’s not a big deal to me either way, to be honest, but I don’t recall in the past there being different default titles for users based on any criteria. If you implement something like that, whatever the criteria, I think that would be great. Or if you don’t, that’s OK, too. Sometimes it’s easy to overthink it, as I doubt it will have major impacts either way.

I think we all know 'Rorschette' is the only valid option. So we could be 'Rorschach and the Rorschettes'.

Plus it would be a fitting tribute to Marie Fredriksson.

As a very recently joined member, "Crazy person" hit close to home, but I was and am okay with that. I certainly didn't interpret it as a slur or tag for mental illness. Embracing the crazy!

Some of the suggestions seem waaay too localised/'in-crowd'. Hoboken Squat Cobbler — I googled it, now I'm
random Tony clone — great choice (if you don't understand it, why are you here?)
Redshirt gets my +∞ ... if I get a vote. lol.
Who doesn't know what a redshirt is? Who wouldn't be proud to be one, and to then graduate away from being one?

 Away from the discussion on the appellation of new-joinees, can there please be better than binary choices for gender?! because I'm nominating the inclusion of "it's complicated" there. I might be Cptn Amab, but ba-dum-tish ... it's complicated

Don't worry. I didn't get it either. I assume it's from one of the stateside meets where they essentially get together and collectively mourn than Scotland is so far away.

I imagine.

You’re not entirely wrong :)

Good call. It will require some small database modifications, but it should be easily doable.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

I used to use "Crazy" as my name on a multi-user BBS years ago, so it just felt a little like coming home to find that title in use here.

But I can absolutely see how people might not want that as their title. Since this is "Real Life" Comics, maybe something themed to the comic. "Lifer" or "Life Plus 20" seems more like a prison sentence... but

Wait.

Some ideas I cooked up:

"Technical Newbie"

"Steak Hunter"

"Posting Smeghead"

"Underhive Occupant"

"Bootleg A.I."

"Offline Streamer"

Haha, how about "Lowly Sewer Rat" in honor of Mae's first experience with Everquest?

It's funny, the title Crazy Person has always fit me. I don't see it as bad for me. My forum name comes from a horror movie villain and was given to me when I was working in a charity haunted house. My job was to scare and if I met someone that I couldn't scare, I would entertain.

I've always been a bit off of normal. But if everyone was the same, how boring would life be?
