So I was thinking about how awesome it would be to go to a Christmas party for a place like Food Network or one of the many popular food mags. Then I considered how terrifying it would be if you were employed there and had to make something for the party. "OMG that nutmeg Michelle used was NOT organic" "So you made veggie dip? like with the recipe on the back of the package?!" I just see everything being nitpicked with so many people vying to make "the" dish.

I see such a get together as catered and spottily attended. These are all stars in their own mind. Why would they all gather in one city at once for a Christmas party with competitors?

I am cynical.

It's okay. In 5 nights' time you'll have a few visitors come fix your cynicism.

Just saw a text from my mom and some other kid named "Andrew." Really wonder if she had another child I'm not aware off. Or maybe she has a TARDIS.

From them both? Or from her to him?
If the latter, some other kid might not be the worst explanation. What did it say?

Rors' question remains unanswered, Amp...

Turns out she was talking to someone who went to college about the same time as I did and was asking about me. Luckily, she's married.

Why is your mum texting an old classmate of yours? I'm not insinuating anything, but it seems a bit odd.

Which is why I've been asked to go home. She fell down stairs twice into the concrete basement and apparently she hasn't been the same since. I'm essentially going to be paid to keep track of her and maintain the family farm while she recovers.

Also, today, while walking, I saw a foursome of ducks mating: two males, two females. It was quite randy.

The two dudes were screwing each other while the two females were getting it on?

If your boss enquires after the health of your daughter - who is suffering from a viral infection and so is not treated with medicine - do not use the word 'incurable' as it causes confusion and distress,

Apparently this is a real thing. (Octopuses in a can.)

ThinkGeek should totally use it for tentacles in a can. My mom swears they can't keep it stocked at Wal-Mart.
