Why I like the Orville
To me the Orville is fun
But why I keep connecting the Orville to star trek...we it's because I want to go there.
In every Star Trek show I have always wanted to go there not that I could because
A. Time travel doesn't exist
B. It's fiction
Just to show I am not delusional. However, every series of Star Trek left me with a desire for that world really existing. For me Discovery at least the first season never did that. It left me empty and sad about the future and a world that I could care less about. I didn't really want to go there. I am not sure why. Oreville is a setting I would be glad to get into and that is what defines a Star Trek for me.

I know what you mean, and I agree.

Re: Why I like the Orville
The Werefrog would like to go to TNG Star Trek, but not DS9 , original series, or Voyager.
Enterprise Star Trek might be fun because they are still figuring a lot of the "basic" out. That would an exciting time.
However, The Werefrog have seen enough of Orville to know it would just be somewhere to visit, not want to stay.

I will pay you money to stop posting about yourself in the third person. Some of your posts aren’t painful to read behind that, but it’s a grating affectation that serves no one.

You can’t handle a piece of that action!
