I should start watching QI. I already like Would I Lie To You and Was It Something I Said (provided they ever make more of that one, which I'm starting to doubt).

I actually saw the announcement and my first thought was that it made perfect sense. Even now I struggle to think of anyone else who could even come close to filling the Stephen Fry role, maybe Alexander Armstrong?

I'm thinking John Stamos.

When I heard that Stephen Fry was leaving I was sad, but when I heard who was replacing him I thought "Hmm, that makes sense".

Still won't be the same without him, though. Stephen Fry makes many things better.

I'm not convinced they shouldn't have just wrapped it.

But there's still half the alphabet left.

Is Belcher a bot?

Also we'll be getting new episodes of QI any day now, and I'm quite excited.

More worried about the news that Aisling Bea and Rob Beckett are taking over as team captains on 8 out of 10 cats, but mostly because I just can't imagine Rob Beckett ever being even remotely serious or authoritative about anything. Sean Lock and Jon Richardson continuing on 8oo10c Does Countdown seems weird too, since they both seem somewhat tired of it?

He has heard about the sharks that they are killer but has not found any strong reason to say that. Is it or not?
Aisling Bea and Rob Beckett
I don't know who either of them are, although she looks vaguely familiar. I have heard it said that one of the reasons women are so poorly-represented on panel shows is that they lack the aggression of the men when it comes to butting in and getting their air-time. I wonder how she'll do.

So. Opinions?

Was initially disappointed with her "Good evening" compared to Fry, but the episode itself was pretty great and I have no doubt she'll do quite nicely as host. Excited for the XL version to pop up.

I thought she did fine, considering. Touch too much nervous laughter if I need to nitpick but a decent first episode.
