Favorite Comediennes

Post by Dreamer » Tue Oct 13, 2015 10:39 pm

Or Female Comedians. Whatever, I don't care.

I just want to know who are your favorites.
But must be female.

Bonus if she's stand-up. But I am okay with her also being a comic actress.

I'd like to start, if that's alright with everyone.

And I'm going to start with Tig Notaro.

I have a few others, too. Really funny women.

But I'm always interested in new comedy.

So sound off!

PS: If you're German, don't bother answering. Your opinion means nein. für nichts, umsont...whatever. Just don't.

Tina Fey. Plus she's a fox. I was about to be sad that the 30 Rock porno spoof between Jack, Liz and Jenna didn't pan out and was searching for that clip but I've just discovered there really IS a 30 Rock porno ripoff so I'm going to go and watch that...uh, read my Bible.

I'm not ashamed to admit. I've search for nip slips. She's definitely a hottie.

I have a SERIOUS thing for Kristen Wiig, too.
But you do realize that now we're not appreciating them for their comedic talents but instead objectifying them as sexual objects. right?

And... I'm cool with that.

I had a whole reply typed up yesterday before my computer spontaneously rebooted. After experiencing a minor fit, I walked away and tried to forget about it.

Tig is great. I appreciate her work intellectually, but I don't believe she's ever made me legitimately laugh. Amy Schumer, on the other hand, has. Sarah Silverman is a genius. And there are a ton of very funny women actors, of course. Aside from the obvious Amy Poehler and others SNL alumni and current players, Kaitlin Olson for example is incredible.

We have similar tastes.

I had to even go back up to my posts to see if I mentioned Amy Schumer.

Because I would have put her most definitely in my top 3 of female comedians.

As for actresses, I also like Melissa McCarthy... Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Sarah Silverman. These women are comedic geniuses. They are funnier by far than any of those blue collar hacks. To me, anyway.

And if anyone's looking for a girl-comic (misogyny intended) to experience, try out Rachel Feinstein. She's got it figured out, too. Very funny.

I've never seen Kristen Schaal's standup, but I think she's been fantastic in pretty much everything she's been in.

Hey! Great! Love her, too!

I've never heard any standu-up either. But let sme say this.
I love Bob's Burgers. And she's the voice of Louise.
And I also love the Long Winters. A band headed up my John Roderick.

There's a video out there floating around of them signing "Electric Love" together from the Bob's Burger's episode, "Topsy."

It's pretty sub-par. They don't pair together well. But it was still amazing to see them together, two of my favorite performers.

Speaking of Kristen Schall... If you're not wathcing "Last Man on Earth" fix that.
She's also in Flight of the Conchords.

And I'm not ashamned to admit... I have an inexplicable attraction to Kristen Schaal. I have no idea why. Has to be the humor.

Yes, definitely the humor. She's not "conventionally attractive" but is otherwise awesome.
