Dota 2
Currently my game of choice to pass the time. Does anyone else play it? I gave League of Legends a little bit of a try but a little too simple for me after cutting my teeth on Dota 2. Don't even get me started on Heroes of the Storm.
Yo Mav, I'm real happy for you and Imma let you finish but Hirschoff had the best sig trends of all time.

Re: Dota 2
Please, get started on Heroes of the Storm. I am currently working my way up ranked play in HOTS and I am loving it.

Tried HoTS, too simple for my tastes.

Re: Dota 2
I League. I didn't like DOTA2, I felt like it was like playing League underwater. I have since come to understand that the basic differences in game design weren't clear, and the problem was that I was trying to play DOTA2 like LOL. Whatever, I didn't have fun.

Re: Dota 2
I take it you discovered kiting doesn't work in Dota 2 since there's something called turning ratio in this game unlike LoL?

Re: Dota 2
No. Too deep. Basically (my understanding is) that DOTA 2 abilities are expected to be SIGNIFICANT. Therefore the mana cost of them is exhorbitant. In LoL, for MOST chars, they are expected to be used ALMOST on cool down. Playing DOTA2 like that will quickly run you of mana and turn you into a minion type snack for a player who knows what the fuck is up.

Re: Dota 2
Yeah, pretty much. That's what I noticed when i played LoL. All the abilities and and spells were so spammy. I was also caught offguard with shrubs not being destructible and not being able to deny your creeps or towers.

Basically the clip was from the final match of Dota 2's biggest tournament The International (TI) between Evil Geniuses and CDG Gaming. That Echo Slam plus the follow up Ice Blast eliminated four members of CDG's five man team, all but ensuring that Evil Geniuses winning the match. The prize for first place was 6 million US Dollars.
