I want to go to it.

Also ANT-MAN because Marvel Studios now seems to own my soul.

See, the thing about Marvel is they're going to now do whatever the fuck they want. We're going to slavishly attend. If won't last forever, but long enough.

If it's good, then what's the problem?

I'm not saying it's a problem. Marvel could film anything, and people will go and see it. It's just fact.

I've seen the reaction a few times when going to see things with people whom I would most certainly consider far less nerdy than myself.

I'm crappy at seeing movies these days. I get too picky about everything.

Examples:
-The only Marvel movie I've seen at all is Guardians of the Galaxy, because I'm afraid all the others are going to try to take comic book superheroes seriously, and I can't deal with that. The only word I want to hear describing a Marvel movie is "fun."
-Haven't seen Jurassic World or Mad Max yet because, to see either in IMAX, I would need to deal with 3D. I do not like 3D movies one bit and would prefer to just sit in an IMAX without any stupid glasses and watch a movie without any stupid gimmicks.
-Honestly? The home experience has kind of caught up to most theaters, except for the rare non-3D IMAX movies on the giant screen. At home I'm more comfortable, I'm paying less money, there's nobody else there (I must seem like such a delight), it's just better.

That said I need to suck it up and at least see Jurassic World while I have the chance. That's definitely a "theater movie."

Oh Cid. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is nothing but fun. Iron Man, Thor, and the Avengers (first one) are pure bliss. Of course, if you watch the Avengers, you should also see The Incredible Hulk and Captain America: The First Avenger. About the only one that tried to be semi-serious was The Winter Soldier, and that was Robert Redford bringing political intrigue.

And also, see Jurassic World in IMAX 3D. It's very well done. Or just shut up and watch it in 2D :)

I don't think very visual films such as the Marvel movies translate as well onto a smaller screen.

Also, I enjoy the auditory bombast of the cinema.

You know what's rekindled my love of the movies? Premier seats. Ah, the petty thrill of paying a few pounds more to feel like a big man.

Saw Jurassic World. There was a group discussion on the holding pens that holds the raptors' heads in place. We all knew it was originally for equipping the head gear but we believe the backside of the stable was where the real money on the island was made.

Haha, yeah, I thought it looked like a breeding facility setup of some sort. I never quite took it to the next level.

You're referring to taking a raptor from behind?

PS How long before there's a prolapse porn with that exact title?

Rule 34, dude. Rule 34.

In an effort to prove that a) I'm way behind the times and b) I have a sensitive side in here somewhere, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was surprisingly good, despite the presence of Richard Gere. Granted, anything Maggie Smith touches turns to pure gold.
