I'm listening to these guys at the moment.
It's a really good album. Their voices are lovely together and their songs are really well written.

I'm gonna throw out a couple of shameless plugs.
First, a band I discovered when they did the bumper music for "Justified" - Gangstagrass:
Second, one of my favorite love songs by one of my favorite artists:

I still maintain that Creep is one of the most beautiful melodies in any modern music. And its chord progression is still so simple.
Clearly she’s a talented singer! And she delivered heartfelt performance, which helps. I think with a little polish on the delivery from a coach or producer, that could be a legit commercial recording.

Re: Songs you should listen to
It's a pretty good song yeah. I still remember one year at Glastonbury festival (2003 apparently) Radiohead were headlining one of the days, and had been encouraging other performers to include Creep in their set. I'm not sure how many actually did, YouTube only seems to have Moby's take, and one from Damian Rice that's marked as 2004 but may or may not have been mislabelled.
I never went hard into Radiohead but what I have liked of theirs has generally been from around the Creep era.
It's been over 8 years, and this song still gives me tingles. Such a god damn amazing voice.
And when a cover of Baba Yetu (from Civilization IV) with her and Peter Hollins dropped I've never clicked on a YouTube video so fast in my life.

Radiohead used to be great. And then they started 'experimenting'. Which is fine on a drunken stag do when you're sharing a hotel room with a friend. But keep it out of the studio, Thom.

Glad you liked it!
It's not necessarily their artistic peak, but I like it as an intro for the band because it shows of what they're about, in a "you won't like the band if you don't enjoy this" kind of way.

Love this so much. I'm listening to a bit of these guys at the moment. I love that they take their time with it and no doubt some sound engineer wept at the length.

Re: Songs you should listen to
After seeing their skits on Tiktok, I searched out their album on Apple Music and it's actually quite good. It'd fit in very well with Bill and Ted, if that's your sort of thing.
They've got a pretty good cover of Crazy Little Thing Called Love on their YouTube channel as well

At first I thought it was fine, but it does get good a few minutes before the end

Here are a couple of viral oldies that have probably been linked here already but are still good regardless.
Just in time for Christmas ...
PS Just to jam another one in here, guitar players and fans of unique voices will probably like this one.

Left-handed drummers are the debil! That was actually a pretty good cover. I prefer his vocals in the second song.Norphus wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 4:24 pm After seeing their skits on I searched out their album on Apple Music and it's actually quite good. But I also much preferred Axl Rose when he came down from his upper register too. They're pretty good.
Wish the fat guy would stop mugging at the camera though.

I'm pretty jealous of talent like this, albeit it's not really my genre of choice. He should lose the arseholes though. They're pretty distracting.
