Hearthstone

Post by Dreamer » Mon Jun 22, 2015 7:34 pm

Unless I searched wrong, there are no actual posts abot=ut this game. Which I happen to enjoy quite a bit.

If anyone else plays Hearthstone, feel free to add me as a friend. My tag is "SolAggressiv"

I'm not very good. I've never ended a season better than rank 11. And I really only play matched games anyway. But still, it's good to have friends on there to watch games for the occasional quest.

And just, you know... to validate my life choices.

You wouldn't want to include the numbers also so we could actually find you?

Only rank 11?! Wow, you must really be bad. [/sarcasm]

But seriously, I would love to play more and having friends that do would help.

Considering I've been playing since almost inception, rank 11 isn't that great... I've never reached legendary (obviously) and now I never will. There are so many players! And now with these Heroes of the Storm douches coming in... I only have myself to blame, i know... But do they play anything other than rush decks? I mean, come ON!!! All my decks are build for the long game. I don't have any decks built for face damage. But when I see that frickin' Heroes of the Storm card-back pop up I immediately think "okay.. let's mulligan for face... And get this sh*t over with."

Is it just me? Or are all those HOTS players clones of each other? Ugh. Hate 'em.

Anyway, I'll have to include my # later because I can't log in at work. Even with my iPad. My office is basically a Faraday cage...

You might want to watch what you say about HOTS. I know Evilelf and I both play, and you if are rank 11 I am sure you would never see the casual players coming in just to get the HOTS mount anyways.

I have played a bit of Hearthstone, couldn't really get into it. I think my days of playing CCG type games are done. Unless somehow I get pulled back into the money pit that is Magic The Gathering.

I tried it and it was okay. Not enough to get hooked.

I got super into this game called Dominion on Isotropic a few years ago. Sadly it was just a fan-made game, and the company made their own game, and the guy took it down as per their agreement. The company's version was garbage. I really miss that isotropic dominion. It was old school goodness.

Gaming with other people terrifies me. After Destiny made it super-awkward to nigh-on impossible to team up with someone else, my various inferiority complexes now find release in Bloodborne where I summoned some help at a pitifully easy level and was summarily killed within seconds of them turning up, no doubt maxed-out to the eyeballs. I'm now too scared to try again in case the same thing happens and some stranger on the other side of the world whom I'll never meet much less encounter online ever again thinks badly of me.

I blame you guys. You guys made me care.

Completely untouchable, I knew no surprises
Wrapped in a cold world of my own devising
But I heard you smashing and swinging hard outside
Saw your sweet faces and I nearly died, I nearly died

Violently you came to me
Said I could be
A different man, a different man
Violently your words hit me
And I broke gently into your hands

A frozen survivor, all brittle and hateful
I'm uncomprehending - who would want this fool?
But you chipped away until some poor soul appeared
Shivering, trembling, stumbling around
Then you brought me near...

Violently, violently
I broke into your hands
Into your hands
Give me your hand

That was too poetic for a place like this.

If and when I get Destiny, I'll invite you to my parties where we can constantly miss each other due to being in completely insane time zones.

Okay, that's fair. It's true that a player’s not just going to all of a sudden arrive and be rank 11. Or even 15, for that matter. But for some reason I just feel like their decks are all so similar. I know it's in my head! But I swear!!! It's like,w hen I lose to a HOTS deck it always feels like they plays frickin' 8 cards and every single one of them equaled exactly 30 points of face damage! AH< NERDRAGE!!!111one

P.S. My player number is 1545. Solaggressiv #1545.

Dreamer, I haven't played Hearthstone, but I played a boatload of Magic: The Gathering back in the day. Sounds to me like you've fallen into a basic flaw of deck design. You said "All my decks are build for the long game.", and I get that. It's SO SATISFYING to see all of your pieces come together, to watch your opponent look at their hand and KNOW they have nothing to respond with. BUT! Most modern M:tG games are won or lost in the first 10 turns. If you CAN build a deck that can win in 10 turns, why WOULDN'T you?
