That is one of the great decisions in the story writing that they have made that sets it apart from the super-hero movies. His marked identity is not his whole life or the only thing that he does to bring change.

I have finally gotten a chance to sit down and watch the first three episodes. Even the missus was fascinated by it - and she's not an action fan. The interrogation scene in Episode 2 had me going "Holy crap, this just took a dark turn". Episode 3 had us both going "Holy crap!!!" at the beginning and the end. And, of course, they just introduced Vincent D'Onofrio, so now I want more.

Also, I had to return some geek points for not recognizing Deborah Ann Woll until the 3rd Episode. I am ashamed.

It is interesting that they are gearing up for season 2 now, even with the other 3 series yet to be released.

Mmm...and I thought she was pretty as a blonde.

I'm somewhat underwhelmed by the prospect of these street-level MU characters coming together to form the Justice Buddies, or whatever, but I'm more than willing to give them a chance. I fell in love a little with Krysten Ritter in Breaking Bad so I'm pleased to see her rumoured attachment.

Elektra was kind of a gimme, though. She and DD are kinda inseparable. Punny, though? He needs a revamped movie that doesn't suck.

Does Daredevil really need a movie? I think that was part of the problem, Daredevil is not action packed enough for audiences to want to watch as a movie. On an episodically show however, the formula that is used in the comics works perfectly.
