Daredevil

Post by Rorschach » Mon Apr 13, 2015 6:35 pm

Anyone watching the latest incarnation of ol' Hornhead on Netflix?

If not, try it out. It's excellent. Really surprisingly dark for a 'comic-book show'. My only gripe would be that the actor playing DD is even shorter than I am. Which is saying something.

There can be only one Scottish Leprechaun. You know what you have to do. Unless the actor isn't Scottish.

I've heard excellent things from a variety of people. I added it to my Netflix list last night but haven't gotten around to checking it out.

I cancelled my Netflix subscription about 2 weeks prior to it being released. So I'm a little bitter.

I stream now, believe it or not. I'm even streaming through an 'app' called blinkbox which I get free on my kindle. DD is on it as well as many other up-to-the minute shows and movies. There is a paid version but you'd be looking for the 'android' one. Or something.

They did an excellent job with the Daredevil. It is great how they paced it out like a police drama with action fight scenes. I can't wait for the other series to come out.

Stick! Stick! Stick! Stick! Stick!
I am pretty disappointed however

if that is the one and only episode he's going to be in (that was the last one I saw) and that Matt's training with him finished before his tweens.
Still though.

I have not delved deep enough into the comics to care about the amount of Sticks involvement in the series. But something tells me they didn't want to spend to much time in the back story and will expand more in further seasons when Sticks is bound to show up again.

I hope so, although

they really shut down any more back story. Maybe he was trained elsewhere after his balls dropped. Excellent Kingpin episode last night. Explained a lot of recurring points. Very satisfying.

Just started watching this the other day. I'm only 3 or 4 eps in so far but I've enjoyed it quite a bit. I want to watch Gotham too but I heard more mixed reviews on it than this. Sadly I feel this will probably be one of those shows I have to watch on my rare days home alone. Getting my wife to watch something like this is nearly impossible, yet she's absolutely hooked on The Walking Dead (sporadically). She's incredibly interested in it but gets depressed after watching several episodes in a row. We have to space them out or I go 3 months with no Walking Dead.

I'm interested to see where Gotham ends up. It looks like they're actually moving things along a lot more lately, which is cool. It has a lot of potential to be a long-running series.

If you want to, I am free and would enjoy the Army benefits for being married.
