I'm not alone, hooray! I keep hoping they'll kill off Joffrey soon but we shall see. If/when they do I hope it's epic. The extended trailer was just released and it looks awesome.
After season 3 airs, also considering downloading the books onto my kindle. Has anyone else read the books? Is the show pretty true to the original story?

I'm about halfway through the second book. They are worth getting.
The show seems to have simplified a lot of awkward history and trimmed down the character list to a more manageable level, but it flows slightly slicker for all that. One of the rare times when I like both versions equally.
The only snag I can see is where you want your spoilers?

The books are amazing, the shows are amazing, and as for who gets off'd all I'm going to say is that it's GRRM. Just assume now if you like a character they will die a horrible horrible death.

So this quote was true?
That stinks. I am a huge Calisi fan, so here's hoping her dragons grow up fast!

I refuse to say anything else for fear of spoiling things. All I will say is that book 3 is my favorite book.

Slow start. It was a little hard to re-start the process of associating names to faces to families/roles across the widely expansive cast of characters, but it wasn't too bad. Looking forward to the ball getting rolling a little more, picking up steam.

I don't have HBO, so I don't get to watch this in real time (although I've read all the books, so I'm unspoilable) , but goddamn I love that image.

Only just starting to watch season 3 now. I'm always late to the party.
