Water - The new drink of professional gamers?

Found this to be very interesting, the gaming culture usually centers itself around caffeine drinks, which people say to make them more 'alert' and play better. While all along, all you needed was some H(OH).

I can vouch for this. Ive been drinking strictly water for the past 2 days (except for a soda for lunch, water wasnt available), and I have been more energetic then ever.

Yes, but after drinking 1/2 a case of soda a day, for the past 8 months, my teeth are in wretched condition. Water tastes like nothing, unless you add something to it. It takes some getting use to, but its actually quite refreshing.

Well, I personally like the taste of ice cold water. I used to drink it all the time when had my job as a game tester. I decided I needed to do something healthy for my body with that kind of job.
Those are my thoughts. Fire away.

I rarely drink water.
If I'm 70% water, I can wittle away with little expense.
I have to go now, my fingers are showing signs of decay.

Most sodas are mostly water. Its like up to 80% easily I think.
Not saying drinking water isn't helpful :P

Both caffeine and carbonation dehydrate you.

I actually dehydrate pretty easily (expecially durring the summer) which is why in warm months I usually have a liter water bottle within reach (both at home and not) which I have to refill several times a day.

MasteR, I've been pinging away at 66.69.5.40 -- I'm too lazy to dig through my whois queries, but it likely isn't there, anyway. Where have I been pinging?

FireAza, I was thinking just that

Both caffeine and carbonation dehydrate you.
Hence I drink water when cycling.
(That, and it doesen't get sticky when dried, and can be poured on a wound to clean it)

Theres sodium in most sodas. Sodium dehydrates you.
Sea water is probably 95% water, 5% salt, but I wouldnt exactly drink it, youd lose more water than youd gain.
Just because something has a high amount of water in it, doesnt mean its alright.
