Re: Who watches Doctor Who

FINALLY saw the christmas episode. I LIKE that the new Doctors are getting a chance to say goodbye to the role and the audience. I LOVE that their farewell speech is so well written it can speak for both The Doctor and the actor. Goodbye Matt Smith. It took awhile for me to appreciate you (even long...

No-Fly List ruled unconstitutional in its current form

So, a judge ruled that the no fly list with it's secrecy is not constitutional. Link . It seems that he's determined that in today's world, the ability to fly is not a casual privilege. I'm wholeheartedly pleased by this ruling. I would like to see more of the anti-terrorism, security theater, power...

Re: Who watches Doctor Who

I spent 8 dollars on it to watch it on Amazon. Worth every penny, if that gives you a metric to judge by.

Re: Who watches Doctor Who

Soooo....I just watched the 50th anniversary episode. Worth the 8 dollars Amazon. I know I'm a little behind the conversation, but just a little clarification from my understanding. John Hurt didn't this time and NEVER DID incinerate all of Gallifrey's children. In every timeline the Moment pulled i...

Re: Store Dot New Battery Tech

well, because quantum , but also because you can actually pick 1 of several definitions that would fit: From Dictionary.com quan·tum/ˈkwɒntəm/ 2. a particular amount. Probably a little silly, but you need an amount of them to do anything? 4. a large quantity; bulk. There are MANY MANY of these "dots...

Re: Namesakes emails

I normally call the people who mis-send me email, but I love the idea of simply cancelling the reservation. You sir, are a hero. I think the best one I ever got was to a posh Las Vegas bachelor party. After chatting with the group about not being the Allen they thought I was, they suggested that I c...

Re: Namesakes emails

It seems as though the general consesus is "they're awful holdovers from a bygone era, where people never strayed farther than an hour from where they grew up" and I shouldn't bother going unless by cosmic coincedence I happen to be nearby.

Re: Namesakes emails

Do people go to reunions? Having moved out of state and not actually staying in touch with people from High School, I skipped my 10 year. 20 is in only 3 years now that I think about it. Should I actually consider going to that?

Re: Inherent freedom to exercise natural rights

That's an excellent breakdown of rights vs privileges, and it begs the following question:

SHOULD gun ownership be a right and not a privilege? I FEEL like it should, but I can't align my thoughts well enough to be explicit as to WHY without "because 2nd amendment".
