Re: The Guns and Weapons Thread

Hmmm, I think they might have updated the game or something, because starting a fresh game starts with the M16 bolt forward. But I can see what you mean, if you flip the gun over you can see that the bolt release lever does indeed release the bolt.

Re: The Guns and Weapons Thread

How did you chamber a round, exactly? If you're starting from a cold, decocked weapon with a full magazine locked in, you can pull the charging handle back and drop it, which should chamber a round and make it ready to fire (if the selector is set to Fire). Yep, that's how I'm doing it. That's not ...

Re: The Guns and Weapons Thread

You guys ever played "Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades"? It's a game for the HTC Vive. As the game's name clearly implies, it's a virtual shooting range. None of this "press R to reload" silliness, you gotta eject that magazine, grab a new one, insert it, chamber a round as well as take of off...

Bah, that's not real candy! This is real Japanese candy! http://i.imgur.com/6JJYXIo.jpg Yeah, Japan has issues. But damn is that candy delicious. I found those in Daiso the other day, gave me PTSD. Also, the writing is in reverse order, goddamned Japan! Spring is coming, so the ume are out in bloom...

"KOUME-CHAAAAAN!"

It seems like he's decided to overcome his shyness and is going to try and talk with Koume-chan.

Re: Very Amazing & Genuine Images of Netiquette Authorities

Eh? That Lotte commercial was confusing? It's the classic story of two people in love who are both too shy to confess to one another. If you want confusing, here's an overweight comedian doing poses that makes it look like he's completely naked:

Re: Very Amazing & Genuine Images of Netiquette Authorities

Speaking about the naming of fast foods in Paris. I was reading about the susceptibility of Japanese to Paris Syndrome last night. I didn't even know that was a thing. Every day is a school-day, in that in Japan, I would imagine they all involve schoolgirls. Yep, that's a thing. Probably due to how...

I'm not convinced that Martin didn't die years ago and has actually since been secretly replaced with a look-alike. First snowfall of the year, and much thicker than last year! Just in time for me to discover you can't ride a bike in thick snow. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/fireaza/IMG_1592...

Re: I return!

I second that! Yakionigiri usually don't even have fillings, so all you need is some cooked rice molded to the right shape, then cook that sucker.

"Electric Weeaboo" is by far the funnier choice. I just wish we could choose custom forum titles, because holy crap, that's gold.

Re: I return!

Considering how goddamned delicious Japanese mayo is, I doubt that very much!

Oh and for reference, here's what a Yakionigiri looks like (Deacon's link made me hungry for Yakionigiri):

Re: I return!

The food is one of the most common things people like about Japan. Ramen can be very hit and miss though, since there's so many ingredients and so many possible combinations. Everything from "this tastes like instant ramen" to "it's like there's a gangbang porno being filmed in my mouth and everyone...
