Re: Whats in a name?

Realty offices can bear a person’s name, of course, though usually a last name. Sometimes a longer view precludes a person’s name or locality under the auspices of expansion and the possibility of a later sale, and then there’s the question of SEO. But “I.G. Realty Services” might work. Or more broa...

Re: The Guns and Weapons Thread

Wow. You’ve got a great collection. I’m going to put a few unused hunting rifles up on gunbroker soon to raise some cash, but they’re morning particularly special. The “nicest” one is probably the Browning BLR lightweight takedown in .308. Great little lever action with a removable box magazine and ...

Re: The Guns and Weapons Thread

7.62x39?? Why?

I’m curious what you mean about a slide cut. Google shows what looks like missing material like you’d have with a ported barrel. Pure just talking about removing material to reduce slide weight?

Re: The Guns and Weapons Thread

You’re doing the machining yourself on that? Even if I had the tools I would feel compelled to shorten it bit by bit to try to get comfortable getting the cuts and crowning right before I ended up at my destination.

Re: Louis CK

Well, he has a particular set of skills... But seriously, if there’s any sense in the world and not just empty outrage addiction, nothing negative for him will hang around for long. Someone being honest and vulnerable in describing a dark time in their life they’re ashamed of and realized was misgui...

Re: Louis CK

That's the context that will give his past work additional life. He *is* flawed, and his actions *were* disturbing. Not so much because of his specific kink, but because of the abuse of the power dynamic. In a twisted but very real way, his misconduct gives his material additional authenticity over...

Re: Louis CK

His standup was even secondary to his tv work and producing. His work is amazing. It may not be broad, multi-cam stuff, so he may not be as widely popular as some others, but pretty much everything he’s done or been involved in has been truly great. All this talk about disturbing and flawed and cont...

Seems to work for me on mobile Safari, current iOS 12.1.4. “Previous” button works and so does the calendar.

Re: This is why I can't do business with Amazon

You’re purchasing a license to read the book. If you purchase a book, you’re only purchasing the ability to read the words, not the book itself to do with as you please (intellectual property). If you don’t want to have to remember a password or risk a company going under and leaving you empty hande...

Re: CSS and mobile-friendly design

I have enjoyed reading this so far. And I will say, for the record, that Flash going away remains one of the greatest movements since GeoCities sites began to receive scorn. I ran into a real, live product website the other day that required Flash. I couldn’t avoid buying that company’s products fas...

I still prefer phpBB
You should experience XenForo 2(.1) sometime. Way cooler.
