just seems like the kind of thing that makes people say old timey phrases like the world's going to Hell in a handbasket.

Re: 2018-10-15 Show Ranking

I don't understand why anyone feels the need to tell other people what they should and should not enjoy. A lot of these arguments presuppose one's opinion as objective fact. Whether Discovery, La Croix water, or lutevisk is "good" is purely subjective. I am seeing a lot more of this as of late.

Re: What's your job?

Very amusing to see the levels of sincerity in people’s congratulations at work. Always the rub. I found it less awkward when I just assumed (in charity) that they were being sincere. Pales though, beside the return of aml. I glee to see him again. You always knew how to make a boy blush, Rorsy.

I'm going to wish amlthrawn a happy birthday but I refuse to do it on FB.

If he wants to collect it, he'll need to come here.

Re: What's your job?

Congratulations, Rors. Didn't see the post earlier because I forgot how forums work. Also need to reacquaint myself with bbcode.

And thanks for the welcome back, Tower.

Re: What's your job?

Thanks to MB for helping get my account unlocked. Hope everyone (even Mav) is doing well.

Currently, I am leading delivery for a national data and analytics consulting firm. Working with the same people I was back when I was a regular here (man, that was over a decade ago).

Longtime forumite, first time necro-er. Methinks 3.5 months is enough to qualify for at least one (maybe two) internets.

Re: Know what's difficult?

When my wife moved in with me, she had a similar issue. Honestly, it never occurred to me what it would feel like moving into someone else's place that was already made "just-so." It wasn't until she mentioned to me that our house felt like "mine" (as in teh aml's) rather than "ours." Since then, I'...

re: Bonds, agree with you on this point. re: Pirate ownership & front office - I agree to some extent. Pittsburgh is a football town... it always has been and always will be.
