Re: The Guns and Weapons Thread

Yeah, I noticed that. They built it around their Scorpion mag clone used by the AK-V, which I'm planning on adding to the collection, but it will still run on MP5 mags. My guess is $1200 or less on the PSA5...maybe even sub $1k. After I picked up the AK-P my stepdad bought one of their GF3 MOEKov AK...

Re: Son of Rantettes & Ravettes

Until you find out that GERD correlates with a somewhat higher risk of esophageal cancer. Yep. I was having some issues with chest pain last year and went in for an EGD. No ulcers but they found evidence of Barrett's esophagus due to prior GERD issues. It's still a relatively low percentage increas...

Re: Son of Rantettes & Ravettes

You should be fine unless it's causing GERD. Even then, probably worth it.

Re: Only Resolutions

Keto is hard. Food choices are limited if you want a varied diet and NIL if you have to travel or go out with friends. For me weight loss is mostly portion control now that we've mostly eliminated processed foods from the things we buy. Stock raw veggies for snacks and check for things like 'Manager...

Re: The Guns and Weapons Thread

I'm pretty happy with the New Frontier build. Their LRBHO is just a piece of wire in the upper that engages the bolt catch when the mag follower hits it. Simple and about half the cost of a Quarter Circle 10.

Re: Only Resolutions

Yeah, everyone is different. I can get up in the morning and skip food till noon with no problems usually. I work from home so snacking can be a problem with the entire pantry right down the hall. The nice thing about the feeding window is that you aren't calorie restricted, just time restricted, bu...

Re: Only Resolutions

I'm about to start doing the feeding window, though mine will most likely be 10a-6p or 11a-7p. The wife and I recently cut way back on carbs and have been feeling pretty good energy wise. It's not full Keto but I try to eat less than 50-60g of net carbs in a day. I did a month or so of full Keto bef...

Re: Parenting with a partially disabled spouse

As the kids get a little older they'll be quite a bit more self sufficient, but it only makes certain things easier. My son is 6 and fully dresses/bathes/grooms/feeds himself minus me putting food on a plate for him. He can pretty well entertain himself for those times we have to handle other busine...

Re: Confessions: It's less personal than last time

I think I played for 4 or 5 months, then cancelled. When classic launched I subscribed for a month to remember the hell that was Vanilla. I got to level 10 or so and stopped playing classic in favor of BfA, solo'ing old raid content I'd never seen and completing achievements. That lasted a couple of...

Re: Cutting the Cord

We tried the $20/mo Sling TV offering when they first launched. At this point it should be a pretty solid offering if you don't need sports or extras. When they launched the app was a bit buggy but it mostly worked. By now it should be stable. I liked their take on live vs DVR. Each network had a li...
