Rant: tenants suck, evictions suck more, lawyers suck the most, quite literally

Rave: Election tomorrow, so at least I don't have to work 7 days a week forever. Light at the end of the tunnel... almost here.

Another rave, on the topic of unhealthy drinking: I've got 76 days. BOOYA GENETIC PRE-DISPOSITION, YA AINT GOT SHIT ON ME! Cheers to that.

You've got me beat by a good couple months on my smoking.

Sadly I picked smoking back up real quick... campaign work is stressful. I'm quitting after the election though. Oh wait, I just voted. So um tomorrow.

Or as my uncle said when I asked him when he was going to quit: "Next month."

I had a friend who was about the heaviest smoker I've ever met. He used to get up during the night to smoke and then go back to sleep. He was a fairly heavy drinker too but always said he'd quit the drink before the smokes. He didn't quit either, unfortunately, but the booze killed him a few months ago. Deacon met him in Edinburgh, actually. I don't know if he'd remember but I forgot to mention.

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know if I heard or saw anything about it through Facebook, but I don't know if I'd really remember, either.

Chantix is seriously about the closest thing to a magic wand that I've ever seen. Makes it so much better (aka possible).

My father managed to use Chantix to quit. It took several tries, however, and came with some very real side effects. Be careful about Chantix if you are prone to anxiety, such as being a small business owner.

Electronic cigarettes have proven effective too, that's what got me off the stuff. However, I'm not so sure I would say I've "quit" when I now have this thing that tastes better, you can use in more places (my apartment for example), and is considered "safer" (mostly for a lack of information but still) than cigarettes. It's like what smoking was when I was a kid, in terms of how acceptable it is.

Vapes for most is just changing gr nicotine delivery mechanism and carries its own risks. As soon as the battery dies or juice runs out, back to fiending.

I get vivid dreams from Chantix. Not much else as far as I can tell.
