That makes me want to go stabby stabby on the people who left the kitty like that.
If you aren't going to take responsibility for your pet, DON'T GET ONE!
I almost ended up with a stray kitty... it took about 3 or 4 months of putting food out for it (It was starving, very obviously) before it would even come inside. It would barely let me pet her when I had food out, but otherwise wouldn't let anyone touch her. But she started coming in and sleeping on our sofa, so she was getting comfortable with us. Wasn't ready to be inside all day yet though without supervision, she was a definate outdoor cat (you should have seen the piles of mice on our doorstep). Sadly, one hot summer day my wife and I left for work, and let her out. When my wife got home, she found the cat by the side of the road, struck by a car (and dead). It was very sad. As my wife put it, "She finally let me pet her" as she cried.
Anyways. now that I have myself all worked up... sorry we can't take one Greg, unless you can figure a way of smuggling it onto a plane and through customs.
